"Layers Of Isolation"

Layers Of Isolation explores the intricate dimensions of human emotions and the experiences of isolation and anxiety. The scenes depicted are influenced by my move to college, where I began living alone and felt more vulnerable than ever before. When creating each piece, I recall situations in which I felt disconnected from the world around me. I then construct a 3D scene out of 2D elements to depict this separation by creating depth between myself and my surroundings.
My series contributes to ongoing conversations about anxiety and processing vulnerable emotions. The shadows cast within the layers become a visual dialogue, echoing the emotional states found in the struggle for human connection and the search for happiness. Although discussing these feelings is often difficult, I aim to create a sense of connection through shared vulnerability.
